UTD-OM-TL  is designed to connect ISDN and Ethernet LAN telecommunication networks by means of fibre optic cables up to 120km. The device enables sending 1 to 4 ISDN (2B+D) BRI channels and connecting LAN networks in Ethernet technology for the rates of 10 or 100Mbit/s.

UTD-OM-TL ​is equipped with a four-port Ethernet switch. It supports features like "Flow control, VLAN," autocrossover "allowing to connect users without additional hardware. Each ethernet port supports programmable rate limiting from 64kbit/s to 100Mbit/s. The available Ethernet transmission channel may be divided into fifteen independent transmission channels through the virtual VLAN mechanism. Up to 16 independent VLAN are supported (full range VID: 0-4095). VLAN tag/untag options, per-port basis. Embedded HTTP server, TELNET server and SNMP agent allows free configuration of the device performance by standard Web browser and continuous monitoring from any management platforms equipped with SNMP client. In addition, built-in SMTP service daemon allows to notify the operator in case of system failure. Device management is carried out out-of-band using dedicated Ethernet port. Remote software update is supported to allow further functionality improving.
